A review of the new Samsung: 10 smartphones for six months

Samsung is one of the fastest growing companies in the world, renewing a line of smartphones almost every month. Look what they pleased us for the last six months.

In late spring – early summer, electronics giant nor fired up by releasing a 4 smartphone. Samsung Phones begin to observe with the giant – the biggest smartphone with a screen diagonal of 6.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. Immediately exit it cost about $625 (model 8 GB of internal memory, the smartphone with 16 GB cost more expensive as a result).

With the design of the flagship Galaxy S4, but in a more vulnerable plastic case in this smartphone is TFT display on the 6.3-inch (the resolution is 1 280x720 pixels). For fast processing of data dual core processor with a frequency of 1.7 GHz and RAM 1.5 GB is enough. In addition to the aforementioned parameters – internal memory of 8 and 16GB, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 supports microSD cards up to 64 GB. And then – almost all of the standard: the main and front camera (8 MP and 2 MP respectively), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS, IR port, as well as a decent size of a smartphone battery at 3200 mAh.

As an affordable alternative he can consider is that the Huawei Ascend Mate. It, however, the screen is slightly smaller but more powerful CPU and slightly more powerful battery.

But another giant Samsung's alternatives are not found. Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 also appeared in stores in late may – early June and cost about $520. Have a 5.8-inch TFT display Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8, however, somewhat meagre 960x540 resolution in pixels. Inside, everything seems to be meet before smartphone tasks: CPU on 2 cores, up to 1.4 GHz, the average quality of the battery, 2600 mAh, slightly weaker front camera (1.9 MP vs 2 MP in the older brother Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3), the standard modules Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS.

Anyone, but the smartphone in the first place is the screen, and with such a grainy picture, such as the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8, no two "SIM cards" or more advantageous price does not look so attractive.

Sure, the "middling" is Samsung Galaxy Win. At a cost of $430, the presence of two SIM-cards, processor 4 cores (1.2 GHz), two cameras (5 MP and 0.3 MP), 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display and a battery of 2,000 mAh, this smartphone looks an ideal purchase for those who are not going to require supernatural gadget.

Alternatively it is possible to consider the Lenovo S890 and Fly IQ451 Vista, or the same Samsung Galaxy Core (a simplified version of the Galaxy Win also for 2 SIM cards). True it is, compared to other phones in this class, it cost nearly $400, twice the price of something.

About the same thing can be said about Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. A smaller version of the flagship S4 has applied for $625, but the price didn't justify. Judge for yourself: meager 960x540 pixels screen 4.7-inch CPU on 2 cores with a frequency of 1.7 GHz, 1.5 GB of RAM, a 1900 mAh battery. The number of competitors in the market Galaxy S4 Mini reduced to just one model, and then only for one simple reason: 2 SIM cards in this set of functions is only in HTC Desire 600. Otherwise, Samsung would have nothing to cover.

Next was the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active (similar to S4 in a secure enclosure at a fabulous price of $875), and S4 Mini in new colors, in September, was presented 5.7-inch Note 3 with 1080p resolution ($940, which justifies is that the camera on 13 megapixels, a powerful processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and a battery of 3200 mAh). By mid-autumn Samsung has released another budget smartphone Trend II DuoS 2 SIM card, however, the stuffing and even the design on the market it can be a very reasonable replacement in the form of LG Optimus L7 II Dual, Sony Xperia M Dual or HTC Desire 300.
