LG goes global tablet market with ‘LG G PAD 8.3’

Today, LG Electronics (LG) has introduced a new tablet LG G Pad 8.3, which is the newest product in the premium series G. LG G Pad with a diagonal of 8.3” – the first gadget in class 8-inch tablets have a HD screen and providing users with a unique experience and a wide range of possibilities for communication. The official premiere of the tablet will be held next week at the exhibition IFA 2013 in Berlin. LG G Pad 8.3 will be another device that will strengthen the position LG as a leader among manufacturers of advanced mobile devices, thanks to the premium G series products.

Pocket compact with powerful battery

Despite the big screen LG G Pad 8.3 has a slim and elegant shape that makes it comfortable to hold it in one hand. This compactness is the result of a study by LG the opinions of consumers regarding the optimum size of a tablet.

For all its portability, the tablet LG G Pad 8.3 is equipped with a powerful 4600 mAh battery, significantly increasing the operating time of the tablet, but it is no heavier than a newspaper and it only weighs 338 g.

The First Full HD screen in the class 8-inch tablet

LG G Pad with a diagonal of 8.3”, the first in the class of 8-inch tablets feature a Full HD screen, a key advantage of G series including smartphones G Pro and G2. G Pad is equipped with a display of 1920x1200 WUXGA (Widescreen Ultra Extended Graphics Array) capable of delivering a picture with more extension than a standard Full HD screens. Moreover, the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ processor 600 with frequency of 1.7 GHz Quad-Core CPU greatly improves the viewing experience of the media files, so users can fully enjoy content in Full HD without any loss in quality.

Full compatibility thanks to the technology QPair

LG G Pad 8.3 meets the highest requirements to be compatible with other tablet devices, on the basis of improved connectivity between them. Due to the unique application QPair, any call or message received on a smartphone will appear on the G Pad. Such compatible devices are very convenient, as allows not to miss an important call or message. Users can easily send replies via the LG G Pad 8.3. QPair also allows the G Pad tablet to easily connect to other smartphones and tablets (recommended operating system Jelly Bean). Records created in the application QMemo on the tablet G Pad, can be instantly saved to the user's smartphone or transferred to other devices.

Maximum ease of tablet use

The Tablet LG G Pad 8.3 offers practical and very useful features, such as improved multitasking. Thanks to a 8.3-inch Full HD screen device, the unique properties of the user interface, LG G Pad 8.3 is optimized for a larger display:

 Slide Aside allows for smooth multitasking with a simple swipe to open apps using a three-finger tap

 QSlide supports up to three different apps in one window with no interruption, especially convenient on large screens

 KnockON turns on and off the device by double-tapping the screen

The Tablet LG G Pad 8.3 will go on sale in key global markets in North America, Europe and Asia, as well as in other regions, starting from the fourth quarter of 2013. Price will be announced during the presentation.
