At the last Congress developer Developers Congress HUAWEI, HUAWEI has officially unveiled a new version of the proprietary user interface EMUI10. Presenting a new product, van Changlu, head of software development of HUAWEI's Consumer Business Group, said that EMUI10 — the first of its kind operating system that is able to effectively work in any mobile devices. Its creation opens the way for implementation of new features, such as making audio and video calls with any smart devices from mobile and wearable gadgets to automotive media centers. The same application can be deployed on all kinds of devices that will significantly reduce establishment costs, increase development efficiency, and most importantly — to offer users an identical interface and comfort level on all available devices.
EMUI 10 received three major improvements affecting interface design, improve ease of use in various scenarios and stability. In addition, EMUI10 there is a new dark mode, which is more comfortable for eyes in the evening and at night. It optimizes the contrast, color text, and system icons on a dark background, the result has a positive effect on the visual appearance and ease of reading.
IN a distributed EMUI10 uses a special technology that allows you to make HD video calls from any connected devices. For example, when there is an incoming call to the smartphone, the user can reply with smart speakers, and a video call can be taken on TV, or a car multimedia center to show the video with the drone in the video call. Being on a workplace, you can combine screens of smartphone and laptop to communicate with a simple movement of files and to receive notifications on the big screen. All this is possible thanks to the technology of allocating resources. To implement the required virtualization of hardware resources of the device. In other words, all components of the device, such as display, camera, microphone or speaker, be available to all devices that are pooled.
A New version of EMUI has received a distributed programming environment user interfaces and virtualization of hardware resources. In this way, developers can create applications immediately compatible with various types of devices without the need for multiple adaptation.
During the presentation of the new version of EMUI, HUAWEI announced its intention to make more open its latest developments, including the Ark compiler Compiler and HUAWEI DevEco Studio. The company also plans to work with third party developers and industry partners.
In the first phase of internal beta testing EMUI 10 will be deployed on smartphones HUAWEI P30 series, and later the shell will be available on the series Mate 20. During the presentation Dr. van Chenglu also announced that a working version of EMUI 10 will be installed on the next generation of smartphones series Mate.
