The South Korean company Samsung Electronics announced that together with Russian mobile operator MegaFon has recorded a record speed data transfer Galaxy Note9 on LTE. Validation of the model was carried out in the network LTE Cat 18 with the included 4 antennas MIMO4x4 and quadrature modulation 256QAM. The data transfer rate when testing reached 1,059 GB/s in current commercial mobile networks.
This speed was achieved during a joint test technicians Samsung and "MegaFon". Data download was carried out with the mobile operator. Speed measurement was done by professional software for measuring complex on the Samsung Galaxy Note9.
Achieving such speeds, as noted in the company, became possible because of the availability of the Samsung Galaxy Note9 chipset Exynos 9810, equipped with LTE modem cat.18, which allows to reach the download speed of 1.2 Gbps and 200 Mbps when uploading. LTE modem, developed in partnership with Anritsu offers a performance increase by 20% in comparison with modem previous generation cat.16, has a data transfer rate 1 Gbit/s to maximize the transmission rate, the mobile technology uses 4x4 MIMO (Multiple-Input, Multiple-OutputMIMO – multiple-input, multiple-output) scheme and a quadrature amplitude modulation 256-QAM.
Such feature allow users to watch streaming video resolution UHD and VR in real time.
