Samsung may sell PC division to Lenovo

Samsung almost forgot about the sale but limited to rare announcements niche products, like the Chromebook Pro.

According to rumors, the Korean company is considering to sell the PC division to Lenovo colleagues.

The Source claims that Samsung and Lenovo are in negotiations, which hired lawyers from Paul Hastings LLP and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer respectively.

Recall that in September Samsung for $ 1 billion sold printer business of HP. It seems that the Korean giant is getting rid of unprofitable assets for business optimization.

Analysts estimate the amount of potential transaction of 1 trillion Korean won, or $ 850 million. Representatives of both companies declined to comment on the rumor.
